Our source of light and laughter, Mitchell Chad Bengford, left this earth on December 23, 2019. Mitchell was born on April 29, 1995 and spent all 24 years of his life caring for others, laughing, and most importantly, effortlessly making anyone he came in contact with better and brighter.
Mitchell graduated from Broomfield High School and had a passion for ultimate frisbee and cars. His knowledge of automotive mechanics was just one outlet that he was able to help and provide service to others. Mitchell then transitioned into being a caregiver, providing love, comfort, and care to several people; a true testament to how selfless and kind Mitch was. Mitchell had a gift for caring for others which came as no surprise to anyone who had the honor of knowing him. It’s nearly impossible to put into words how special he was to every person he knew and how much joy he brought to anyone he met. Mitch was happy to make others laugh even at his own expense, and genuinely made every moment better no matter what it took. The world got a little less bright when Mitchell left it, but we know he is smiling down on us at every moment and is laughing with us when a good prank is pulled. Mitchell loved living in the fast lane, following his brother’s footsteps in his need for speed.
Mitchell is lovingly remembered by his mom, Mary Hohnstein, Step father Brant Hohnstein, his brother Tyler Bengford, grandparents Constance and Owen Lecheler, grandma Joann Bengford, Step grandmother Margaret Hohnstein, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will join his dad, Douglas Bengford, grandpa, Leonard Bengford, and Step grandfather, Dale Hohnstein in heaven, where he will provide them endless laughs and love as he did here on Earth.
We were blessed to know Mitchell for the 24 and a half years that we had him; he was laughing and joking up until the very last moment he was here, and for that we will forever be grateful. We love you, Mitch.
