Michael Clinton Kirkham, aka “Cockeye”, died unexpectedly in Westminster, Colorado on Friday, January 5th, 2018 at the age of 31.

Mike is survived by his Wife, Tanya Kirkham, Daughter Akayla Kirkham, Son Zayden Kirkham, Father Glen Kirkham, Mother and Step-father Charlotte and Jeff Hayek, Brother James Kirkham, Grandmother Ruth Rockwell, Grandmother Glenda Scovotti, Grandfather Ken Kirkham, and his Uncles Danny, David and Ken. He is preceded in death by his Grandfather Jerry Rockwell, Grandfather Bill Scovotti, Uncle Paul Rockwell, Uncle Terry Bender and all his great grand-parents.

Mike was born on October 18th 1986 in Denver, Colorado to Charlotte and Glen Kirkham. He was born three months prematurely and only weighed 2 pounds 7 ounces. He fought from day one and made his way home. Mike always looked for the next thrill and during his middle school years he earned his nickname “cockeye” by falling off a banister he was trying to slide down, which resulted in his right eye never looking the same way again. After growing up in Denver, Colorado he moved to Osborne Kansas where he met his wife. He married Tanya, the mother of his children on September 3rd, 2010. His daughter Akayla Michelle was born August 24th, 2011 in Hays Kansas. His son Zayden Michael was born on November 3rd 2015 in Denver, Colorado.  

Per Mikes wishes his body has been donated for scientific study to help improve the world he left behind. A memorial service will be on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Wash Park United Methodist Church at 6:00 p.m.
