Jeremias Sanchez, 67, of Fountain, CO, passed away on August 25, 2019 after a valiant battle with his extended illness.
Jerry was born on April 9, 1952 to Gregorio and Catarina Sanchez in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a graduate of West Mesa High School where he met his wife Linda (Zimmerman) Sanchez and they married April 14, 1972. He began his military career and retired with the 101stAirborne Division in 1991.
After his military retirement, Jerry worked in the armed security field at Ft. Carson military base, Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind, Pikes Peak Christian School and the Sky Sox Stadium. Jerry spent his free time rooting on US Soccer, the Denver Broncos and spoiling his six grandchildren as much as possible.
Jeremias is preceded in death by both his parents and his nephew John. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda Sanchez; his three children, Jeremy (Jennifer), Joseph (Vicki), Jarrad; Jerry will also be fondly remembered by his six grandchildren, Katie, Clay, Julia, Jackson, Lauren, and Izabelle, by his siblings; Elias (Esther), Maggie, Danny and Annette; Jerry will also forever be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and many young men he had coached in his soccer coaching career.
