Albert J. Lecoq passed away on September 29 at the age of 94. He was born in Melesse, France, to Joseph Lecoq and Albertine Thebault on April 17, 1924. While in service after the war, he met his future bride, Renee, who was visiting France and Africa with her sister. Shortly thereafter, they were married and moved to Woonsocket Rhode Island where they had two sons, Richard and Robert. Richard succumbed to cancer at age 13.
Albert is survived by his wife Renee, son Robert and his wife Robbie, grandchildren Nicole and Richard, five great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Also by his sister Marie (age 95).
Albert had a passion for life. His favorite activities included fishing, woodworking and socializing. He loved to make things, including wooden bowls and custom pens. He enjoyed passing pens out to family and friends. He loved visiting the family cabin near Estes Park and spending time fishing the Big Thompson river.
A memorial mass will be held on October 16th, 10am at Nativity Of Our Lord Catholic Church (900 W Midway Blvd, Broomfield). A reception will be held at the church after the service.
