Virginia Dorothy Fauson Obituary

Virginia was born to John and Susie Ferarese on June 19, 1931. She married the love of her life, Herman Fauson, on October 20, 1951, and spent their entire life together in Louisville. The majority of her working career was spent at Rocky Flats, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant.

She was a kind, loving, devoted, and supportive daughter, sister, wife, aunt, cousin, and friend who was very proud of her husband, family, and Italian heritage. She and Herm were always in attendance, bringing love and joy, at family celebrations, special occasions, holidays, and family picnics.

She also enjoyed traveling with Herm to several beach destinations and various mountain resorts. However, her favorite vacations were the ones they took to Las Vegas and Mesquite, where she enjoyed playing video poker, eating good food, and getting dressed to the max to attend the various shows and entertainment that Vegas had to offer.

In later years, when they stopped traveling, she would take the bus to Blackhawk, where she enjoyed visiting with friends and playing video poker.

However, I believe that her most enjoyable moments were those spent just being in the presence of her beloved husband.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herm; parents, John and Susie; sister, Dorothy; brother, Joseph, and sister-in-law, Shirley; and nephew, Jim Gordon.

She is survived by nieces Mickie (David), Angela, Janine, Pat (Chris), and Pam; grandnephews/nieces Aaron, Matthew (Lillie), Melissa, Jessica (Matt), Stephanie, Joseph (Cassie); great grandnieces/nephews Tayler, Brooke, Aubrey, and James.

You will be greatly missed, Auntie, but forever in our hearts.

Our family would like to thank the wonderful hospice and palliative care nurses from Tru Community Care for the kindness and compassion they provided to Aunt Virginia while under  their care.

We would also like to thank Kelsi, Santiago, and the staff of In Memoriam for the exceptional care and services they provided in the preparation and burial of Aunt Virginia.
