It is with great sadness that the family of Giovanna “Connie” Bonazzo announce her passing and is now reunited with Christ and her husband Joseph Bonazzo. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loved ones.
Giovanna (Connie) Bonazzo, 94, of Broomfield, Colorado departed this life on March 23, 2024 due to natural causes. She was born on March 21st, 1930 to Rose & John Deodato in Cenadi, Italy. She was a beloved wife and loving mother to three daughters.
Giovanna is now reunited with her adoring husband Joseph who she loved fiercely. She met Joseph as childhood sweethearts, in Italy. Giovanna and Joseph were married for 72 years. Giovanna was preceded by her husband Joseph Bonazzo and survived by daughter, and son in law Gina & Glen Pitman, grandson David, wife Emily, great grandson Leo Pitman, and granddaughter Lisa Moore. Daughter, Elsa and son in law Greg Maestas, grandson Joey Masetas and wife Jamie Maestas. Daughter, Josie Deckelman, granddaughter Gabrielle Deckelman, and grandson Brendan Deckelman.
Giovanna, filled with gratitude and appreciation, had a heart of gold and was best known for her love for her family, animals, Italian cooking, and sense of humor.

A rosary for Giovanna will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27th, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Broomfield, Colorado. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow Mass.
Her interment will be the following day, Thursday, March 28th at 10:00 a.m. at Broomfield County Commons Cemetery in Broomfield, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church or Animal Rescue of The Rockies.
